Grand Canyon
The Trip was spectacular and so was the weather. We felt blessed. It was a fabulous day enjoyed by all.
A visit to one of the "Seven Natural Wonders of the World" cannot be adequately described by words. Breathtaking views and incredibl formationswill be interpreted by noted local experts in geology and cultural history. The centerpiece of this field trip will be surrounded by visits to The Painted Desert, Petrified Forest, Meteor Crater, Sunset Crater(volcano), Wapatki Ruins, Lowell Observatory and the Hoover Dam.
In so many respects, the barrier islands of The Outer Banks lie at the opposite end of the spectrum from Northern Arizona. Also a product of powerful natural forces, these islands tell stories of courage, determination, catastrophe and dastardly deeds. True local experts will create vivid images for students of the lives and events which have shaped the history of these fragile isles including Ocracoke, Hatteras, Bodie and Currituck.
