Just the scenic passage through the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains to Asheville makes this field trip worthwhile! Included with this overnight trip is a guided tour of the famous Biltmore House with visits to the Gardens and Conservatory as desired. Also included is a guided tour of the Tuckaleechee Caverns in Townsend, Tennessee or The Lost Sea in Sweetwater. Other attractions such as The Sandburg House or Thomas Wolfe House may be added. For two night trips and a focus on Eco-Studies, you may add guided activities at Chimney Rock and/ or interpretive programs at one of the area’s Nature Centers.
