The Travel Store, opening student's eyes to the world!

Since 1993, it has been our privilege to fulfill the student travel needs of teachers throughout the North Georgia area. We do far more than just provide transportation. As a local company, The Travel Store is immediately accessible to meet all your field trip requirements. Additionally, your student groups will be accompanied throughout the trip by at least one Travel Store Travel Coordinator to ensure that every aspect of your trip goes according to plan.

The past school year proved to be the most active in our 17 year history. Despite various ongoing economic and geo-political issues (and testing and testing), teachers planned field trips (parents supported field trips!) and students traveled; and educations were enhanced! In fact, it was our privilege to arrange field trips this past year for more than 25,000 students and educators. We applaud these teachers and their administrators for continuing to provide their students with these valuable learning opportunities!

Those few teachers who had planned field trips which were canceled or rescheduled for one reason or another found our cancellation and refund policies, probably the most liberal of any company in the travel industry, to be as straight forward and expediently administered as we promised them to be. Each year we receive a number of letters from principals and teachers praising our integrity and organizational skills. We value our reputation and will work diligently to preserve it.

Our Online Catalog has brief summaries of the most popular scholastic field trips being offered by The Travel Store for the 2010/2011 school year. Each of these field trips is designed to take maximum advantage of the time allotted for your field trip while minimizing your costs. Of course, if you are interested in taking your students to a location not described herein, we would welcome the opportunity to design a trip for you.

All of our field trips include round-trip transportation via late-model, luxury motor coaches with "WCs" and DVD players, all admissions, activity fees, taxes and gratuities and a Travel Store Travel Coordinator to accompany your group. All of our prices shown herein are based on a minimum of 40 paying participants per motor coach unless otherwise specified. On overnight trips, students are housed four to a room and adults two to a room. All meals are included except where otherwise indicated.

...and about our policies concerning deposits, payments, cancellations and refunds...

It is our desire to keep our policies as liberal and uncomplicated as possible and, of course, we will comply with all local school board policies.

One Day field trips - No deposit is required. Final payment is due 30 days in advance.
One night field trips - $75.00 per person deposit at an agreed upon date. Final payment is due 45 days in advance. Rooming lists are requested 35 days in advance.
Two night field trips - $125.00 per person deposit at an agreed upon date. Final payment is due 45 days in advance. Rooming lists are requested 35 days in advance.
Three or more nights - Deposit of 30% of total field trip cost, per person, at an agreed upon date. Final payment is due 45 days in advance for motor coach trips, 60 days in advance for groups which involve airline travel. All rooming lists are requested 35 days in advance.

One day field trips - Participants on a field trip who cancel within 48 hours of departure, for any reason, will receive a 50% refund paid to the school. Any cancellation with more than 48 hours notice will receive a full refund.
All overnight field trips (except those involving airline travel) - Participants on a field trip who must cancel after the deposit date and prior to the final payment date will receive a full refund. Anyone canceling after the final payment date, for any reason, will forfeit the deposit. As airline policies vary by carrier, trips employing the services of an airline will be governed by policies which are consistent with those of the chosen carrier.

Field Trip cancellations - Our policy concerning cancellation of a field trip will be identical to that for individuals with the exception of inclement weather. Should a principal or the Superintendent of Schools mandate that a trip be canceled due to inclement weather or national emergency /crisis, as determined by the Superintendent, we must be notified at least eight hours prior to our scheduled departure date and time. Under these circumstances, the trip will be rescheduled (based on availability) or a full refund will be made to the school, at the discretion of the principal or Superintendent of Schools. In the event of a reschedule, neither the school nor the school district will incur additional charges or fees. Cancellation of a field trip within the eight hour window may incur those charges imposed on The Travel Store for such things as dispatched buses and drivers, prepared meals, etc.
